黃明志(Huáng Míngzhì), known as Namewee, was born in Johor, Malaysia in 1983, and made her first debut in 2007, releasing his first Single EP, Muar Mandarin(麻坡的華語) , online. In 2013, he released the album, “Asia Most Wanted”(亞洲通緝), entering the Taiwanese music industry.

He is the rapper, singer, songwriter, composer, filmmaker, and even actor because he sings the songs which written and composed by himself as well as films music videos on his own. Therefore, he expresses himself honestly through his own songs and music videos in each album.

However, some of his music works received criticism because the lyrics and the plots of music video sparked some racial and religious issues even though he expressed what he tried to convey honestly to the public. For the most recent one, the song and music video “It might Break Your Pinky Heart” (Fragile 玻璃心) was banned in PRC China even though this song went viral attracting 63 million views in Youtube and other onine community platform in October 2021. 周興哲 Zhōu Xīngzhé, known as Eric Chou , born in 1995, is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter. He has been dubbed by the Taiwanese media as “king of the lovelorn people”.Chou’s self-composed song hit “The Distance of Love”, the ending theme of the 2014 Taiwanese drama “The Way We Were”(16個夏天), which he also made a cameo actor in the drama, reached 100 million views on YouTube, making Chou the youngest Mandopop artist to reach the feat at that time.

Eric Chou’s singing style is thick but warm. The real charm lies in the falsetto singing performance. I would even describe it as the soft beauty that is very special. It has some R&B singing style and tastes, but it is not too fancy, but appropriately simple.

The release of her debut album, To Hebe (2010), established her as a solo artist. Tien’s song “A Little Happiness”, the theme song of the 2015 Taiwanese film “Our Times(我的少女時代)”, was a major hit in most Mandarin-speaking parts of Asia.

Tian’s singing is simple but very gentle, depressive and infectious, and also has a psychedelic temperament. It seems alienated from the mainstream and commercial trends, but, in fact, it can be seen from many songs that it is rebellious or naughty.
